How Pre-ordering Works

Step 1: Find a book you want

Browse upcoming releases in the Discover section. Check the solicitation text, creators, and contents to decide if it belongs in your collection.

Step 2: Check the timing

Is the FOC window still open? If so, a specialty retailer like DCBS or your local shop is the strongest option — they commit to your copy before the print run is finalized.
If FOC has passed, you can still pre-order through Amazon and other major retailers, though fulfillment depends on the stock they receive.

Step 3: Place your order externally

Go to your preferred retailer — DCBS, Amazon, your local comic shop — and place the order there.
This app does not process orders. It helps you track them.

Step 4: Log it here

Come back and record where you ordered, what you paid, and your order reference. This keeps everything in one place so nothing slips through the cracks.

Step 5: Track until it arrives

Your pre-order shows up in your active list with a countdown to release. When it arrives, mark it received and it moves into your collection.

Which path should I take?

FOC window is open — Order through DCBS or your local comic shop. They commit to your copy at FOC, which means it is reserved before the print run is sized.
FOC has passed — Amazon and other major retailers often accept pre-orders after FOC closes. Fulfillment depends on the stock they receive, so it is not a guarantee — but it is worth doing for widely available books.
Already ordered somewhere — Tap "Log Pre-order" from any upcoming book to record the details. You do not need to order through a specific retailer to use this app.
